About test.dat and bank.dat

The data for the banking application is saved as a Java Serialized object in a file. The functional and UAT tests use test.dat. The application (typically used from a view) defaults to a file named bank.dat. Neither of these files should ever be checked into the master or integration branches. I would recommend that you don’t check them into your development branches.  There are cases where it is useful to send a team member a bank.dat file with a known issue or starting condition. If you need to do that, you can commit the bank.dat file in and then later delete it. You will also need to instruct  EGit to stop tracking it by using ignore after you delete it.  You can start the views with a specific file other than bank.dat.
